The strap is made of vulcanized rubber and Nylon.

The Gen. 2 model is longer to suit wider limbs. 

Before equipping your RTT tourniquet, check it; look for possible traces of wear on the sheath or cracks on the retaining loop which could compromise the proper use of the device, if you suspect a defect, no longer use your tourniquet.
